Spotted on eBay, a prototype of the Macintosh SE/30, also known as ‘Bilbo.’ Documentation for a model by that name (the machine’s code name) had previously been on sale; here, it’s the actual machine.
The machine has a V1 ROM on a socket, 4MB of RAM, and a 40MB hard drive. It’s running on 7.1, and the seller notes that the capacitors are failing (common for Macintoshes of that era) but haven’t been replaced, as is expected for a prototype.
