Recently, Henry Plain decided to sell a transparent Macintosh Portable on eBay. It’s evidently not the model I had already mentioned before; there are some differences.
It’s an M5120 (without backlight) running System 6.0.7, which has been repaired and refurbished (capacitors replaced, new battery, etc.), and it boots up. Henry was asking for $15,250, but the listing was removed before its completion, so it presumably sold, but there’s no idea about the price. It has been seen on quite a few sites recently; however, the images were provided by another well-known figure in the world of prototypes, Sonny Dickson.
