Spotted on eBay, a rather peculiar item: a Paladin keyboard.
The Paladin was an Apple project aimed at creating a device at the intersection of a phone and a portable Mac, with an integrated printer. It had a handset but was based on the electronics of a PowerBook Duo.
What’s up for sale is just the keyboard, in ADB format. It features a very Apple-like layout (the L-shaped arrow keys), an apparently fixed ADB cable, and a PowerBook Duo trackball, complete with its two buttons. Just before the end of the auction (as I’m writing), it’s already at $285, without the Paladin itself… (final price: $1,450).
