On eBay, there were three Pippin prototypes a few days ago. Specifically, a console, a modem, and a floppy drive.
The floppy drive closely resembles a retail model, except for the inscriptions under the shell.
The console is a development model, with a message under the shell, no marking on the back, and stickers for the front marking (Pippin Atmark and PowerPC). The seller indicates that the accessories are new, so they are not presumably related to the development version.
The modem is not the one sold in Japan with the console, nor the one sold in the USA. The design is slightly different.
