I mentioned this prototype in the movie Sabrina (the 1995 remake) in 2013.

Amusing : in Sabrina, a 1995 film, there is an Apple prototype. It’s a prototype of Spartacus, the 20th Anniversary Mac. According to Wikipedia, it was loaned by Apple almost two years before its release. This model notably has a transparent window on the optical drive door, whereas the door of the store model is opaque.
Since then, the film has been released on Blu-ray, so I took the opportunity to get some cleaner screenshots. It’s not very clear; I haven’t seen a close-up of the machine in the film, but it’s evident that it is not identical to the final model.
In the beginning, you can also see a strange machine in a car, but I’m not 100% sure it’s the Mac in question; it’s a bit dark.
