The eMate, this laptop running Newton OS, apparently had quite a few prototypes in the wild. There’s another one on eBay this week.
The bids are around $300 at the time of writing, but it will surely go for much more… though not for $15,000, the price the seller asked for a few months ago. It’s a machine quite close to the final version, even though it does have a sticker « prototype ». It doesn’t have a gray keyboard and is neither orange nor transparent.
