Sometimes, there are amazing prototypes, like these USB-C and Lightning cables seen here and on Twitter.
The first one is a USB (A) to USB-C cable, something Apple has never offered. Was it for the Apple TV, or was it a transition of iPhones to USB-C? No idea.
Lightning cables have something even more surprising: a symbol on the plug indicating its orientation, like USB or 30-pin dock cables. Yes, the mark shows the orientation: normally, it should be placed facing up. On Lightning, which is reversible, this seems somewhat pointless.
