A transparent Macintosh Portable prototype

Transparent Macs are quite common (at least in photos), but they are usually all-in-one models, like the SE. Here, it’s a Macintosh Portable, Apple’s first portable computer.

Seen on Twitter, this first-generation Macintosh Portable (most likely without a backlight based on the photos) has an almost transparent case. It uses a trackball, which is not always the case: some models replace the pointing device with a numeric keypad. And sometimes, the ball is orange.
