In a more official auction than eBay, there’s an intriguing item: a VideoPad 2.
Estimated between €7,000 and €10,000, this non-functional prototype (essentially an empty shell) was envisioned in the early 1990s. It represents an evolution of the Newton, specifically the second version out of three designs. It was intended to feature a camera, a card reader, a screen, and space for either a second (touchscreen) display or a keyboard. The item comes from an Apple engineer who obtained it in the late 1990s. According to the description, it includes a leather case in Newton’s signature colors.
