A Lightning cable prototype

Seen on eBay, a prototype Lightning cable. It was sold for less than $240 (I assume).

The cable is quite old (the data indicates 2010, about two years before the release of the iPhone 5) and differs from commercial cables. Aside from the markings on the metal part of the connector and the USB plug, the most noticeable difference is the logo on the Lightning connector. This marking was present on 30-pin cables but was likely deemed unnecessary for Lightning cables. In theory, it was meant to indicate the correct insertion direction, which is less relevant for Lightning connectors.
