Tony Fadell’s iPod Prototypes

Tony Fadell, the person behind the iPod (among other things), is cleaning out his garage to promote his book, and he’s showing us some iPod prototypes.

The first batch appears in an article on TechCrunch. We can see a device that was a sort of abandoned iPod + Phone project, iPod motherboards, a prototype of the first iPod shuffle, and an engraved iPod to celebrate the first million units sold.

On Twitter, he also shared prototypes of iPod nano models. These are 3D-printed prototypes, including models with a (very) large screen.

Still on Twitter, he shared a prototype of the first model.

Also on Twitter, some tests on the colors of the iPod mini.

Finally, on Twitter, screen tests for the first model.
