A Macintosh prototype at an auction

Seen in an auction (a real one, not eBay), a 128K Macintosh prototype, the first model from 1984. It is currently at $18,000 at the time of writing this post.

There is a video of the Mac in question on the Mac84 channel. Notable details include an Apple logo on the feet of the machine, a custom ROM, and different internal signatures. The Mac boots from an external drive, and the (dirty) accessories are functional. Of course, given its age, the original capacitors should be replaced. Finally, it comes with a visually appealing carrying case.
