I’m continuing with the FCC, with two related products: the second-generation Apple TV 4K and the third-generation Siri Remote (paired).
Let’s start with the third-generation Siri Remote. On the FCC page, several differences can be seen, and I took photos of mine to compare. The most noticeable change is the presence of a notch under the casing for finger placement. The second, less visible difference is the mute button: the speaker icon is crossed out on the final version. Lastly, a more anecdotal change is the infrared transmitter window, which is significantly larger on the final version (likely to improve reception by allowing signals to pass through more easily).

For the Apple TV, the only visible difference on the FCC page is a small eARC
logo near the HDMI port. Its presence makes sense: one of the key features at the time was the ability to use eARC (essentially an HDMI return channel) to send audio from the TV to HomePods. In practice, the feature was launched in beta in 2021 with tvOS 14… and it was still in beta in 2022 (with tvOS 16). I took a photo of the screen for a good reason: the option only appears if you have connected HomePods (which disables screenshots) to an eARC-enabled device (which my capture card is not).
