Do you know about the PowerBook 145B special edition for the JLPGA tournament (a Japanese women’s golf tournament)? Probably not. This special edition is much less well-known than the 1992 version, a very colorful PowerBook 170.
I recently discovered it on Reddit, but there are other photos in an older Reddit thread, and a reference at Macotakara.
The colorful PowerBook 170 (very well-known) dates back to 1992, while this model with a lid featuring the tournament’s colors dates from 1993. By the way, don’t be fooled by the names: the PowerBook 145B is newer than the PowerBook 170. The 170 is equipped with a 68030 at 25 MHz, an FPU, an active-matrix display, and came with 4 MB of RAM. The PowerBook 145B has the same CPU (without FPU), 4 MB of RAM, and a passive-matrix display.
