A prototype of the Apple PenLite, the ancestor of the iPad

Seen on eBay, an Apple PenLite. This tablet was listed for $30,000 and is fully functional.

This isn’t the first one spotted here, and it is a tablet based on a PowerBook Duo, dating back to the early 90s. The tablet is fully operational and was even shown in a video in the listing. Interestingly, a macOS feature was conceived by someone hired to work on this tablet.

It’s worth noting that the screen has the classic pink spots seen on PowerBook Duo displays, but the seller states that it can be replaced with a PowerBook Duo screen… which makes sense.
