A2282, Apple’s mysterious Ethernet and Lightning adapter

Seen on the FCC, a strange accessory: the A2282. It’s quite similar to the A2657, a USB-C model.

This adapter is mysterious: it has two Ethernet ports, a Lightning port for charging, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a battery. The FCC doesn’t explain what this adapter does, but a section highlighted in the documents mentions that it’s not intended for sale and is only meant for internal use at Apple.

Finally, the images aren’t great because the PDFs are protected (I usually try to extract the images), and I used an online service to remove the watermark.
