A prototype of the 5th generation iPod Touch, slightly different from the final version

Seen on YouTube, a prototype of the 5th generation iPod Touch that has quite a few differences from the final version.

The 5th generation iPod Touch is a significant evolution in design. Notably, there is a QR code engraved on the back, which is rare for prototypes. There is also a sticker with the device information, a serial number engraved that doesn’t match the legal information at the bottom of the casing, and the absence of a silver ring around the camera lens.

We can also see two rows of speaker holes, compared to just one on the final version. It also doesn’t have the connector for a wrist strap, which is present on the commercial model (but not on all variants). Finally, it appears the Lightning connector is not fully compatible with the final version: sometimes you need to change the direction of the plug for it to turn on… and during the video, it doesn’t work.
