The prototype is a 2008 17-inch MacBook Pro, featuring a Core 2 Duo Penryn and a red motherboard. It is an M88 (codename) DVT2 « AT » (development stage) with a 2.5 GHz CPU and a graphics card with 512 MB of video memory. The optical drive (a classic UJ-785) is also a prototype, as is the Wi-Fi card (an EVT model). An EMC « XXXX » can also be seen for identification.
