Apple Demo just released a new video showcasing a rather rare iPod: a DVT 3 iPod 3G that includes an unreleased game, Tetris (under the name Stacker).
He previously showed this iPod in 2021 and made another video more recently. He explains that when he originally received the iPod, it was not working, but a simple ribbon cable replacement fixed it. On the casing, you can clearly see DVT 3, along with a serial number indicating it was produced over a month before the official release, and a product code that actually points to an iSight (A1023). There’s also a JTAG connector and a 30-pin cable with a DE-9 serial plug.

As for the software, this iPod is running version 2.0d200 of the OS and includes a game called Stacker, which is a playable Tetris clone using the click wheel. Since it’s a beta development version of the OS, he demonstrates that it can also run on a first-generation iPod.
