A lot of Apple Watch band prototypes

Today, a lot of Apple Watch band prototypes, seen over the years.

I enjoy posting about prototypes because I find it interesting to document what comes and sometimes disappears quickly. But since drafts are piling up and I don’t plan to publish several per day like last year, I’m going to create a big post for each type of product. This time, Apple Watch bands seen throughout the year.

Seen on X, a band for a ceramic Apple Watch, but the white pin isn’t visible. You can notice the colored magnets.

Seen on X, a black version of the Apple Watch Ultra band, which was never released.

Seen on X, a prototype of the Modern Buckle band. It features a connector different from the retail version.

Seen on eBay, a prototype of the Apple Link Bracelet. It’s an EVT model with slightly different markings compared to the official version.

Seen on X, Apple Watch bands in Nike versions.

Seen on X, more pictures of a Pride 2024 band, marked 2023. It’s compared to the 2021 version.

Seen on eBay, a prototype of a Solo Loop band in orange. It’s a size 8, with an orange very close to Hermès tones.

In a series of posts on X, we see a mechanism Apple never released, the Apple Deployment. The author mentions about fifteen prototypes. It appears to attach to sport bands. More can be seen in a second set of posts and a third one, with leather bands.

Seen on X, a prototype of a Sport band in a never-released color: a pretty saturated emerald green.

Seen on X, a prototype Nike band. It features the same colored holes as the Pride version and, according to the original poster, was used as a test.

Seen on X, a ceramic Apple Watch Sport Band. It’s a white band with a black pin, and the poster says it’s a leftover from a never-released ceramic Apple Watch Series 5.

Seen on eBay, an EVT leather band. This one is a beige 42 mm model.

The one on the left is the prototype

Seen on eBay, another EVT leather band. This one is a 42 mm blue model.
