A development board for the iPhone 3G

Today, a somewhat unique prototype: it’s the development board of the iPhone 3G (N82) in the Engineering Verification Test (EVT) stage. The photo was sent to me by a contact who specifies that it’s roughly the size of an A4 sheet, so it’s really just for testing the components.

Une carte de développement d’iPhone 3G

Aujourd’hui, un prototype un peu particulier : il s’agit de la carte de développement de l’iPhone 3G (N82) en stade EVT (Engineering Verification Test). La photo m’a été envoyée par un contact, qui précise qu’elle mesure à peu près la taille d’une feuille A4, donc c’est vraiment juste pour tester les composants.

Vu chez Henry, un prototype d’iPhone 5 sous un OS de test que je n’avais jamais vu, plus fruste que le classique SwitchBoard. Visiblement, c’est un OS pour véritablement tester un prototype, pas juste pour vérifier qu’un modèle fonctionne.

Not exactly a prototype, but certainly a rare device: a 4 GB European version iPhone. Spotted on a forum with related explanations. It bears the CE marking and has a 4 GB capacity, a combination never officially offered: the 4 GB iPhone was discontinued before the European release.

Un prototype d’iPhone

Pas exactement un prototype, mais en tout cas un appareil rare : un iPhone de 4 Go en version européenne. Vu sur un forum avec les explications liées. Il a un marquage CE et une capacité de 4 Go, une combinaison jamais proposée : l’iPhone 4 Go a été abandonné avant la sortie européenne.
